Dr. Jehanzeb Mughal Senior Consultant and Postgraduate Trainer of Oral & Cranio-Maxillofacial (CMF) Surgery, trained in the UK and is sole-recipient in 2011, of an award from The Royal College of Surgeons of England, which no other Maxillofacial Surgeon practising in Pakistan has received. He is Fellow and Member of noteworthy Colleges, Societies and Associations. Pioneer in Pakistan of mini-plates and screws usage in the face, including its first certified training course. Founding Chairman of AO-CMF in Pakistan, and Member MiddleEast Board, 2009-2015. Dr. Jehanzeb Mughal, has conducted and contributed to over seventy (70) conferences and seminars, as speaker and instructor, in Pakistan, North America, UK, Europe and MiddleEast, including the prestigious AO-Davos Conference, December 2014. Philanthropic endeavours are recognised locally and globally, which includes tremendous work for refugees with UNHCR in Yugoslavia, March - June 1999, and in the aftermath of earthquakes in Turkey, August 1999, and Pakistan, October 2005, as well as setting up a Maxillofacial OPD in 2007, to serve the underprivileged in North Karachi; at PEBS Hospital (Nagan Chowrangi). Dr. Mughal’s surgical expertise is predominantly in the highly specialised surgical treatment of OralCancer, and its complex reconstruction, as well as Trauma, Salivary Glands, TMJ and Facial Deformities. Another distinction was to run Amsterdam, London, Chicago and Tokyo Marathons (42.2km races) in just 18 months, to establish and raise funds and awareness for Pakistan’s first entirely Free Oral Cancer Surgery Unit, ICU and Ward at PEBS Hospital; inaugurated 16 March 2023. Oral Cancer is No.1 Cancer causing death among men in Pakistan and No. 2 in women. Dr Mughal plans to participate in all six World Marathon Majors, which will includes New York, Boston and Berlin, for PEBS Hospital Oral Cancer Surgery Unit. Last but not least, Dr. Mughal is Member of Editorial Board, Journal of Craniomaxillofacial Trauma & Reconstruction (Indexed US Journal), and coauthor of the Oxford University Press UK, Handbook of Head, Neck & Dental Emergencies, published since 2004.
